Wetheriggs Penrith Studio Pottery Mug

A pretty mug in a pale lemon glaze with blue hand painted decoration. Wetheriggs pottery in Cumberland was first founded in 1855 as a brick and tile works then became a pottery from 1860. It was taken over by the Schofield family in 1913. Harold Thorburn a member of the family ran it for some years. Weatheriggs closed in 2008.
Condition :- Good, no chips or cracks.
